GWG Leadership Center
+Education
Grad Club: Grad Club is a college prep program for 3 through 12th grade that is built on academic monitoring and tutoring. Grad Club focuses on
topics like goal setting, college entry, career development and life skills. Education Officers work with each student to set academic and personal goals.
Grad Club members are rewarded for their active engagement and progress through prizes, field trips and service-learning projects.
Power Hour: We believe that all children can succeed academically and grow to be healthy, productive adults if given sufficient support and
opportunity to learn. All members have the opportunity to receive homework help from a tutor.
M&M Club: Money Matters offers girls a front row seat to financial literacy. From investing in education to saving money for retirement, making
financial decisions doesn’t have to be difficult. Money Matters helps girls take charge of their financial futures.
Spanish Club: We introduce the girls to the Spanish language and make it easy and fun. We build confidence and create enthusiasm for language
learning with games, music, activity sheets, acting, manual crafts, competitions and visual aids.
+Creative Arts
The Center has space for visual, performing and music arts where children are encouraged to express themselves, develop new skills and talents, and
expand their individual creativity. Each member is exposed to a wide variety of arts-based activities from dance, to visual arts, sewing, crocheting and
creative writing.
Fitness and Performing Arts
GWG members develop healthy habits, skills for stress management, and social skills through participation in activities such as dance, karate and
aerobics which require focus and discipline. Girls gain skills and build confidence to take on new challenges.
+Technology
A primary goal is to enable members to become fluent in the use of technology. Our Centers have an interactive lab called for students to explore the
dynamic offerings of computer technology. The girls are encouraged to work alone or in groups as designers, inventors and creators.
+Workshops
GWG leadership programs allow the members to practice and improve their decision-making skills. We help our members to develop healthy self-esteem, resilience, motivation and the ability to make better choices. The Continued Learning Exploration (CLE) Workshops include Managing my Emotions,
Making Critical Decisions and Balancing Desires vs. Needs.
